NEWS FABRYTON

  • A historic milestone for cardiovascular medicine in northern Chile.

  • On August 26, 2025, the first remote Cardiac Magnetic Resonance (CMR) study in a Fabry patient was performed in Antofagasta, using the GE MRI scanner at the Regional Hospital with specialized support from Santiago, 1,330 km away.

  • This achievement marks the beginning of FABRYTON, a project endorsed by the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR) and supported by Sanofi, General Electric, and INCIC. Its mission is to bring cutting-edge technology, local training, and a sustainable CMR program to the entire northern macrozone of Chile.
