Ventricular quantification in arrhythmias

The feasibility of real-time cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) for ventricular quantification in arrhythmic patients was studied. The results showed that the technique can reveal functional heterogeneity in patients with premature ventricular contractions (PVC), with broader and sometimes bimodal ejection fraction (EF) distributions. This may be important in clinical practice to improve the evaluation of cardiac function in arrhythmic patients.
