Cardiac Diffusion Tensor Imaging
The cardiac diffusion tensor imaging (cDTI) technique with up to 6th order motion compensation was studied. The results show that 4th order compensation is necessary for successful diastolic acquisitions, with mean diffusivity values of (1.73 ± 0.19) × 10-3mm2∕s. This enables reliable quantification of myocardial microstructural changes between systole and diastole, a step towards clinical translation of dynamic cDTI.
