Millennium Nucleus Cardio MR: Julián Vega shows how cardiac MR is redefining the limits of cardiology
Fresh from his cardiac MR fellowship at Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, Dr. Julián Vega Adauy was the invited speaker of the seminar series run by the Millennium Nucleus Cardio MR and the UC Biomedical Imaging Center.

A few weeks after completing his cardiac magnetic resonance fellowship at Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, Dr. Julián Vega Adauy, cardiologist and cardiac imaging specialist at INCIC, was the invited speaker of the Millennium Nucleus Cardio MR seminar series on Monday, 14 September 2020.
The talk, titled “Resonancia magnética cardíaca: redefiniendo los límites de la cardiología” (Cardiac magnetic resonance: redefining the limits of cardiology), was given online at 2:00 p.m. Chile and Argentina time, as part of the fortnightly Monday seminars hosted by the Biomedical Imaging Center of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. The invitation came from Sergio Uribe of the Millennium Nucleus, who wanted to hear about the research projects Dr. Vega had taken part in in Barcelona and his research plans in Chile.
The audience was as diverse as cardiac MR itself: researchers and students from engineering, medicine, physics and chemistry, among other fields. Dr. Vega shared his training experience at the Clínic and showed how the technique expands what cardiologists can see and measure in the heart.
The talk was recorded and is available on YouTube (in Spanish).
