UC Decision-Making Course 2026: Julián Vega on the role of cardiac magnetic resonance in myocarditis
Invited by the Division of Cardiovascular Diseases of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Dr. Julián Vega Adauy of INCIC gave the talk "CMR in myocarditis" in the cardiomyopathy module of the 18th Annual Postgraduate Course on Decision-Making in Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery.

Myocarditis is one of the diagnoses where cardiac imaging most clearly changes clinical management. That was the topic of Dr. Julián Vega Adauy, INCIC cardiologist and cardiac imaging specialist, at the XVIII Curso Anual de Postgrado Toma de Decisiones en Cardiología y Cirugía Cardiovascular (18th Annual Postgraduate Course on Decision-Making in Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery).
The course, organized by the Division of Cardiovascular Diseases of the School of Medicine of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, took place on June 26 and 27, 2026 at the Hotel Cumbres Lastarria in Santiago. Dr. Vega took part as an invited speaker in the cardiomyopathy module on Friday, June 26, with the talk “CMR in myocarditis”.

The talk reflects INCIC’s approach: using cardiac magnetic resonance to move from recognizing a pattern to identifying the cause and guiding clinical decisions.
